Ever since I’ve started university, life has just been like a car on the N1. There are no stop signs, no traffic signs (for control) or yielding signs. The only time I get to slow down is when there is something in front of me and just like any car, I just overtake and continue with my ‘voyage’, but truth is-I don’t know where I’m going.
Imagine how exhausting it is embarking on a journey but not knowing where you are headed. It’s literally just unnecessary turns, following other people and you get to the point where you are now running on ‘E’. This is where I am currently, I am at a point in my life where I don’t know where I’m headed, and I know I’m not the only one(I hope you sang that :) ).
Romans 3:6(NLT) says; “Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” That’s just 16 words but its one of the hardest things I’ve ever tried to live by. Sometimes I don’t know where and how to seek His will, I don’t know if the path I am on or planning on taking is where I’m supposed to be. This made me feel (emphasis on the feel) like I’m disconnected to God and life.
However, after some prayers and time, I had an epiphany- I don’t have to figure it out right away. All I can do is slow down, notice my surroundings and continue this journey. That’s where I became aware, and every turn I took in my life was intentional. When was the last time you watched the sunset or sunrise without thinking of capturing ‘the moment’? Go back to the days where seeing an aeroplane in the sky, made you smile or happy. Notice everything and in detail.
Its time to go back to the drawing board, perhaps then will you notice/see your bespoke path. Slowing down, taking that deep breath, going back- it makes you astute. It’s okay to take more minutes to answer that question, to sleep on that decision, you don’t have to be in a rush.
Try it and maybe you’ll see your path, I think this could be one of the many reasons why God told us to be child-like. Above all, don’t forget Rom 3:6.

It is such a humbling moment for any parent to see their child grasping that which belongs to them, to see your child at their full(est) potential. You write your heart out. Beautiful
